WANTED: 7-inch Disc-O-File Record Sleeves

Post by vintagetenor »

According to his site, Kurt Nauck is out of stock on these 7" sleeves.

I'm looking for either unused or preferably unmarked used ones. Will consider marked ones if necessary.

Indeed, this is a tragedy...or at least a huge annoyance. We're all scrounging for these right now. Kurt says maybe next year he'll make more, maybe not.

These sleeves from Bags Unlimited are the nearest thing I've found. They are the same size as Nauck's and have the appropriate label cutout. Good for 7" 78s.

7" Vinyl Record Jackets - KRAFT. 7-¼"(w) x 7-3/16". WITH Center Hole. Made from Heavy-duty 18 pt Chipboard.

FYI, I bought some of those earlier this year, and they were just a hair too small for my 7" 78s; I couldn't get any of them into the sleeves without tearing them. I had to return them, and Bags Unlimited did not make that easy. Just sayin'. YMMV.

Yes, Bags Unlimited focus is on vinyl. Kurt's sleeves are designed for early discs. And even with those Berliners are a bit of a tight fit, but they work.

Sometimes you just have to make your own.

This what we did before Bags Unlimited even did standard 78 sleeves.
