It has condition issues, notably the motor and motor board, but if it was in a more convenient location for me to collect I would take it on as a winter project.

Also missing the lower shelf but not impossible to fix but this along with the motorboard issue would surely cost far more to reproduce (commercially) than the entire gramophone would be worth restored, especially when you factor in the cost of the French polishing required.
I cannot seem to get anyone to do any polishing today for less than a couple of hundred pounds.

The more I looked at this machine, the more I thought that I had seen it for sale before. Sure enough, I looked in my photo gallery and found this picture, but I cannot remember whether it was on eBay or www.the-saleroom.com.
