Why do them all have a small paper cone installed in the neck... It's it attached to the diaphragm?
Edit
Sorry for that! :D an optical illusion that had me completely amazed and intrigued..

There are no paper cones installed in the neck(s).

These were photographed against a white paper
background. When you take a photo straight into
the back of a reproducer, all you are seeing is the
back of the mica from the inside against a white
paper background.

Probably an optical illusion. These reproducers
are all in great shape with NO problems and NO cones.

Interested in the Columbia reproducer. Would it fit the BNW? It’s a rear mount model.

Yes, this was the style of reproducer I was referring to on Facebook as being an easy one to find. It will fit, once you remove that piece that was stuck inside to accommodate that plastic sound box.
Cheers,

As for the Improved Concert, is the wording carved into the bezel or extruded from the bezel? I have secured a gold one that has been carved into the bezel, but I am looking for the type that the wording is carved into the bezel. For clarity's sake, I am looking for a gold Improved Concert where the wording is carved below the surface of the bezel. Is this one such example?
