Armistice Day

Post by Canuk Phonographs »

October 1917, just as the United States joined their Allies in the trenches of WW1, the Victor Phonograph Company issued a three record album set, in the event that it become extremely necessary, to teach the American soldiers to speak French correctly,. The method was simple. Play the records over, following the phrases along in the booklet, and saying over the French phrases to yourself aloud as they are given out by the record.
Armistice Day is November 11, a day to remember those that died so that we may live in peace and freedom.
Please remember.
