VE 10-50
I have an opportunity from a junk sale to purchase a Victor VE 10-50 it looks rough. How hard are these to repair?

The VE 10-50 is an all electric machine so a lot of parts might have to be replaced. I don't own any electrical machines so I don't know how hard it would be to source the replacements. Also is it a 10-50X (ac) or 10-50U (combo ac/dc motors)?
Be sure to look up Samuel Murchison Seka on the interwebs for some music and phonograph reading material.

This is incorrect..... The only thing electric on the 10-50 is the motor and the light bulb. It is an Acoustic reproduction machine. The changer can be somewhat of a challenge, but get with Mark Lynch for changer pot metal replacement kit and rebuild information. These are nice machines...... I have probably owner 10 or more in my collecting history.

It is not "all electric". It is an acoustic phonograph, with an electric drive motor that powers the turntable & changer mech.
