Just got this yesterday off FB marketplace

It's a VV-XVI in Oak, fumed oak finish I think. It's kinda dirty but solid. Cleaning it will take some doing. I paid $25, and it came with records. Oh, and it runs smooth and quiet.

Tremendous deal! I have bought three machines off of FB Marketplace, but your deal is a lot better than anything I ever found. Great job in acting quickly!

What year was it made? It has the Exhibition Soundbox so must be before 1918.

PS. I found the serial number from your other post and looked it up. 1916. Nice machine!

Some of the dark(er) oak finishes offered by the VTMC were subtly varied. I'm never really sure, from pictures, what type of dark oak finish a cabinet has. See this informative page: http://www.victor-victrola.com/oak.htm
