Rearranging

Post by phonogfp »

Several years ago I picked up this little display case, which was so rusty and dirty that I couldn't tell it was glass (I rubbed it with my fingers to be sure). The other day I finally cleaned it up and began to think about what I could put in it.
This morning I made this little display of improvements in cylinder and disc reproducers. These include three different Mobley modifications to Edison and Columbia reproducers, Fletcher and Blackman modifications to Edison Automatics, a Max Wurcker reproducer, a prototype Victor soundbox, an unmarked disc soundbox with ear tube capability, a Lewis Phono-Consonator, and two rather clunky aftermarket electric pickups/arms designed to allow playback through a radio. Sitting behind the case is, appropriately, a Bettini Attachment mounted on a Type A Graphophone. Finally, behind the Bettini is a Victrola Credenza.
All this stuff was tucked away on shelves where they weren't noticeable. It's fun to rearrange a little!

Nice case and contents! :rose:
You still have room to set something on top. ;)
