Wanted: Triumph 2-piece crank
Looking for 2 2-piece Triumph cranks, which are proper for D2 forward. I do have a couple of cast cranks for trade or will purchase outright.

Just a question, what is a 2-piece crank? Picture would be great.danohallaron wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 9:36 pm Looking for 2 2-piece Triumph cranks, which are proper for D2 forward. I do have a couple of cast cranks for trade or will purchase outright.

Re: Wanted: Triumph 2-piece crank
I believe he is referring to the crank construction where the shaft and crank throw are two separate pieces that were joined together, versus a crank made from a casting.ChuckA wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 12:05 pmJust a question, what is a 2-piece crank? Re: Wanted: Triumph 2-piece crank
Got it, just never heard it called that way.
Is there any rhyme or reason for which crank is used on what model?
I looked at some of mine and
Fireside A, (3) Standard D's, Home F, Home B, Triumph F, Opera - All have 2 piece cranks
Fireside B, Triumph B, Standard F - All with cast cranks.
Inquiring minds, etc, etc

Been away for a few days. The two-piece crank, on the Triumph, replaced the cast crank starting with the D2, and included the D2, E, F and perhaps the G.

I always believe the seller sets the price. But will certainly pay market price. You can PM if you want to sell it. Thanks.
