WTB: Columbia nickel 8 panel horn for Columbia type BO

Post by phonospud »

How difficult is it to find a nice 8 panel nickel plated horn for a Columbia Graphophone type BO “Invincible”? I have a 9 panel horn currently on my machine that is in very nice solid condition. I would use possibly it as a trade or just sell it outright if I can locate what I need. The 9 panel nickel plated horn I have is correct for multiple disc and cylinder Columbia machines and many Reginaphones.
Thanks guys, enjoy your Monday!
Cheers,

Darren

Darren,

Personally I think an 8 panel horn would be too small for a BO. Mine originally came with a 9 panel, but I upgraded it to an oak Columbia version spear tip horn.

Yeah, I know this isn't an answer to your question.

So,

I would think it won't be that difficult, my 8 panel nickel horns came on BET and BFT models

My BO has an 8 panel horn. I bought it at an estate auction in 1963, along with a Herzog half-barrel cabinet filled with records. I have no reason to believe it isn't exactly as originally purchased. (Not to mention, the only catalog image I've ever seen also shows 8 panels. ;) )
