I had the machine that sold on ebay for $2200. I was unsure of where to even begin with a price and then it sold almost overnight. Its hard to say if the price is what they regularly go for, or if the collector just really wanted the outfit and would pay the price. It took me maybe 3 months to restore. I had parts made, motors cleaned and rebuilt (which is apparently hellish because the Business spring is not like any other dimension of Edison spring). The horn was made to order too. I put a considerable amount of money into the restoration. I think these machines are great because they actually work and sound like you when you make a recording. The perk could be the spring motor, as it can be used without extra equipment. Also, the time and effort to put it all back together was considerable.
