This Japanese search engine is proving to be very useful.

https://www.infoseek.co.jp

With its use I found this extremely helpful site:

http://78music.jp/columbia.html
This is a catalog of the main Japanese music SP discs [Edit: SP discs or standard playing discs or just SPs are what 78s are called in Japan] manufactured by Nippon Columbia (formerly Japan Phonograph Company) up to August 1945, in the 24000-30000 series and 100000 series. Pre-war and other standards go to pre-war 2. Click here after the war. As a general rule, the release date follows the month of the new release, but in most cases the actual release date is the 20th before. Columbia lists 1 at the beginning of the label's original number on side A and 2 on side B, but omit them in this table, and the one with 1 among the same product numbers is listed at the beginning of the table. Click here for a catalog of Nipponohon and its affiliated labels (Orient Airplane Lion). Click here for the low-priced label Regal Records
From the new record in April 1943, the label will be Nichek. It has also been adapted for reprint editions.

Thanks.

I had intended to post the main page.

Too much of a hurry. Too little proof reading.

78s are apparently referred to as SPs in Japan, Standard Playing records.
This site is really cool. The facility they host it in has a massive amount of phonographs and records, all 78s.

Glad you enjoyed it.

How are things with you and your new school?

My project here, the reason for starting this thread, has been deeply back-burnered because of the chaos of my life at the moment. I will get back to it.
