WANTED: An Old Fashioned Home In New Hampshire

Post by Dave1950 »

I am looking for the following record:
A 78-RPM record of "An Old-Fashioned Home In New Hampshire", Performed by The Joe Green Orchestra with Smith Ballew singing the lyrics. Circa 1932, or it could also be on a Varsity record label titled “New Hampshire Home” by Joe Green’s Band. The record will most probably be a 78-RPM Shellac material (Not Vinyl!). This song is the one played every evening at the beginning of the Fritz Whetherbee segment on the channel 9 TV show Chronical. Here is a link to the song on YouTube, https://youtu.be/c0FX9WKbdT4
Below is a picture of what the record might look like
Do you happen to have one, or know where I can find one??
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Dave D, in Newport, NH.

Additional info I have regarding this record is that the song I’m looking for is on the flip side of a song titled Marta (same record label, same band). Marta – VARSITY 5116, matrix USC-1598-2-D1, New Hampshire Home – VARSITY 5116, matrix USC-1595-2-A-D1
NOTE: There is at least one more version of this song out there that I am aware of, it’s title is also An Old-Fashioned Home in New Hampshire, but it’s by: Dave Roberts & His Home Towners. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT THE RECORD I’M LOOKING FOR!!

There is a 2-minute cylinder "My Old New Hampshire Home" on 4-4 Time. Might check it out. 4-4time.com
