Attached is a picture of an early Edison cast crank with a break / chip out of the slot end. I have a couple like this I've put back over the years and would like to get them repaired. Does anyone know a source who can properly repair the end, or tips on how to repair?
Thanks,
David

Something like this could be epoxied on and then recut the slots.

Re: Edison Cast Crank Repair
Is the cross pin long enough to reach and engage with a groove in the added sleeve?

Re: Edison Cast Crank Repair
I'll need to check and confirm. My hope was it would be possible to fill the void with welding for cast iron, then grind down to the original shape and slot. I'm not sure if this can be done, so the sleeve may be the best alternative so long as the cross pin will engage the sleeve.
Thanks,
David
