Columbia Soundbox Isolator (3d Print?)

Post by Teak »

I am sure, i am not the only one with hardend or missing soundbox decoupling material on thier no 9 or 15 soundbox.

I have seen a couple of solutions in the past, sugru, as well as regular rubber mat. The most elegant was if i remember correctly a 3d printed decoupler. Does anyone have access to one or to the 3d print files?

I haven’t checked to see if they’re back in stock, but The Phonograph Shop did stock those isolators. Also, there was an individual in Arizona (I think) that was 3D printing them. I’ve used a few of them, and they are excellent.

I've been working with my 3d printer and could easily print that part but the file is not available in any of the places I work with. It could be made of PLA which is not very flexible or TPU which is a lot more flexible. If anyone can find the file and give me more information about this part so the correct filament is used I would gladly print them for you guys. I'll keep looking for it and see if I find it.

I've been looking around and there are none of these parts available. If anyone has one the 3d printed part please let me know a friend of mine says he could probably make the file so I can make some for anyone who needs it.
