VIctor supplied these cardboard stroboscope discs with their machines for a number of years, they were used to set the turntable speed to 78RPM. Since the AC Mains frequency varied in different parts of the country and world the discs were offered in a few varieties. Below are two, one for 60Hz and one for 25Hz, presumably they had ones for 40Hz and 50Hz but I’ve not seen these. Maybe a collector could post them.
The Niagara Falls area in Canada and US had 25Hz power into the 1950’s I believe. The 25Hz disc below came with a Canadian Electrola from Toronto that also necessarily contained a 25Hz amplifier and motor.

Re: Stroboscope Disc
I would swear I saw a disc for the VE 9-54 that had two sets of stripes. One for the normal 78 RPM and one for the 114 RPM that is engaged during the changer cycle to speed things up. I thought my brother had one but to date have not found it in is stuff. Has anyone seen or heard or one of these?
