Here is an reproduction of a very rare crank for the United States Talking Machine. I've included an image of the ad for one in the picture. These machines are sometimes called the cigar box Berliner. Very rare, early, simple, and actually made in Michigan!

This crank was faithfully reproduced from an original casting. It was cast in cast iron, and painted black, just like the original. While these machines are rare, they are often missing the crank when found.

In fact, there is a United States Talking Machine phonograph in the upcoming Stanton's Auction that does not have a crank, as represented by the picture in the auction.
