Hello Everyone.
Over my short time of collecting, I have amassed a small collection of instantaneous records. I have heard the horror stories of playing them on a cheaper modern machine like i have (and sadly have seen the effect when i briefly attempted to play one of them). Especially with my recent acquisition of my first 16" record(which cannot even fit on my turntable), I have been wondering how I could make transfers of these records considering these factors (and the fact I am unable to make transfers of regular records too!) and was wondering if it was possible to contact an archive/someone with archival capabilities to be able to make high quality transfers with the correct styluses and tracking forces and such.
I've always had an obsession with one off recordings like this & I'd like to make sure that they are able to be heard even after the physical copies are lost, so does anyone know if this is a possible ask and if so, who to contact about this? I would prefer to do this in person since shipping these records is probably a bad idea (Some of them already have a bit of chipping on the edges), so I would prefer to do this with someone in the Maryland/Pennsylvania area, but if that is not possible then I understand. Thank you all for your help.
