Twenty years ago I bought a Diamond disc reproducer that was modified to be plug to an amplifier. The Reproducer was cut off before the diaphragm shell. The top of the diaphragm shell was cut off as well. A piece of metal was welded just below the cut of the reproducer arm. A round small metal radio speaker(?)

with a centre opening underneth was welded to the rod. The cut opening of the reproducer shell was welded to the centre opening below of the small metal radio speaker(?)

, giving connection between the reproducer diaphragm and the small metal radio speaker(?)

. The repruducer weight that is going side by side and holding the T-Bar with the stylus was not altered. An audio out-put coming from the round metal speaker(?)

was pluged at the audio in-put of the amplifier, I branched it so it goes to the left and right, so there will be sound on both speakers.
I am not an engineer, if someone can explain it more logically, I would appreciate.
