Berliner/Victor Canadian popular series. There are a lot of fun things on it. In in the early days it was Herbert Berliner's bid for independence from the Victor popular list so there are a lot of American artists.... like Billy Murray and The Peerless Quartet .... who came up to Montreal to record in the studios on
Lenoir Street( get it? get it?

Victor and Herbert's father Emile put an end to that scheme in 1921, the series consisted of Canadian artists or American ones who were doing long gigs in Canada like Harold Leonard's Orchestra ( a
Brunswick group in the States..) or Joseph C Smith's band who appeared as Joseph C Smith and his Mount Royal Orchestra on the Canadian label.
