Do you have a prefered record brand, size or label?

I'm curious about any preferences you may have when it comes to buying records (disc or cylinder) for your various machines.
I used to buy most any Victor 78's that I could find but I have eventually found that I am really drawn to the single sided, 10" Victor records from the 1905 to 1908 era. They have many of the same artists and charmingly innocent themes as the earlier, more expensive records.
How about you guys?

My main field of interest is 1920's dance bands (american and english) and vocalists. I used to focus on electric recordings, but now I've gotten used to the sound of acoustic recordings I buy those also.

From the early electric era I prefer Columbia. Those Viva-Tonals are the best! Victor is good, also, but sometimes they suffer from a lot of crackle. Later electric Brunswick's are also OK, but those early "light ray" recordings sound pretty bad.

When it comes to acoustics I prefer Victor over Columbia. They have far more volume, and therefore less hiss during payback.

I like Victor Orthophonic records the best. Brunswick records are also a favorite. Every now and then, I see a strange looking label when going through a selection of records for sale. Sometimes these become part of my collection.
Most of the records in my collection were made before 1930.

Many of my records are 10 inches in diameter.

Since 1969, my record collection has both increased and decreased in size since I enjoy buying, selling, and trading records.
