Something like this, especially if it's a family piece, is something you should keep.

Thats the problem, no one in the family wants it and we need the money to help pay for my grandfathers retirement home costs. My dad just sold the house, but with the way gramps is going we need a couple more years worth of funds, not that i expect to get it all from this

Is that all you have of it? Do you not have the tonearm and reproducer, and the turntable?

Yours is a double comb music box. Here is a link to what appears to be a similar model for reference.

I'm sorry about your situation. I know caring for elderly relatives is a challenging task, and your grandfather's needs do trump the need to keep this piece, but I still think you should find some way of keeping it if possible. This item is virtually irreplaceable.Jman wrote:Thats the problem, no one in the family wants it and we need the money to help pay for my grandfathers retirement home costs. If the turntable and tonearm are not with the machine I'd recommend you do your best to search the estate to see if they turn up. The machine's value is diminished without these parts. The first link above has a picture showing these pieces. Hope this helps.

Re: Reginaphone
On short bedplate Regina boxes the first 3 digits on the serial number plate is the model number.
It's hard to tell if it's a 15" or 20 ¾" box, looks like what is known as a "cupola top" box.
