Thanks everyone. I was just wondering if these were pretty common. I don't really "collect" records but came across a bunch of them in a back storage area of an antique store in the 70's. I had just bought my first 78 player and it didn't come with any records. Looking back now, I wish I had bought all them because they were all in nice albums and in great shape. It seems that all I find now are in boxes and all scratched up. Thanks again, Jan.

Howdy Jan, I know what you mean about wishing you had bought those records. At a local flea market, a fellow was selling off the contents of his barn, including a box of 78s. I had been at the flea market for rwo hours, and it was miserably hot and humid out, so I told him I'd come look at them next week. The records were still there when I came back, but had been rained on and the sleeves had turned to mush, there were bugs crawling on them, and some of the labels were still soaking wet. Well, I bought some anyway, brought them home, scrubbed them with a toothbrush (yikes :o !!), and they wound up sounding great. Still, it would have been nice to have gotten the albums and sleeves as well, and not deal with silverfish and crud.
