Key for Pooley record cabinet
I put my Pooley record index cabinet on the trader but I think I'm going to hold on to it. Given that, I need a key for it. It takes one that is the same type as a victrola key, and in fact my victrola key fits and turns but does operate the lock. Has anybody any idea what the key looks like?

Here is a picture of my Pooley cabinet and it's key. Sorry about the quality of the key picture. My camera is out of commission so I had to scan it. : )

Thanks, that should do to get one made, or find one. Did your cabinet come with the glass doors? Also it looks like you have a shelf below for storage, which mine does not.

Change your mind on the cabinet (please) - I WANT IT! It's very impressive looking.

It really cleaned up nicely, (I'll post a picture tomorrow) I'm going to hold on to it for a while, but send me a PM and we can talk.

Yes, the glass on the doors is original and there is a small shelf under the ejector mechanism for storage. All of the records in mine are original to the person who bought the cabinet. Each has a small numbered sticker corresponding to the number of slot in which it is located. When I bought it, there was a small notebook from the original owner with a handwritten list of all the records in the cabinet along with their numbered location. It's the only thing I keep in the storage area.
It's in good condition overall but unfortunately has had dark stain applied at some point. It was done well, but isn't the original color of finish which should be much lighter.

I wonder how many different styles there were? Mine holds 10 inch on top and 12 inch on the bottom. The finish is original but very dark also.

I have three different styles, sizes. Sonnyphono's is yet another style so that's at least four styles.
Sonnyphono, nice cabinet! Good move to keep all the records you got with it together with the cabinet. Should you decide to sell it some day, I think it will bring a premium price that way.

Here is one for $200 on Craigslist that looks similar to the one I have. It has fabric on the inside of the glass doors though.
