This is apropos of nothing except that it's a great pic of Henry Hall of the BBC Dance Orchestra.

Not seen sheet music for that song before. Only 40c in Canada too :) Here is another of his popular songs.

And don't forget "Teddy bears' picnic" that was used by the BBC well into the 1950s as a test record for mobile setups because it contained both the lowest and highest notes that were used in AM broadcasting. Hall took over directing the BBC dance orchestra when Jack Payne left, becoming the major band leader for Crystalate (and quite probably earning quite a bit more too!).
