CAPS haul

Post by antique1973 »

The CAPS show was really great this year. Lots of friendly folks and great machines! Special thanks
to Jerry for bringing the walnut XVI from Union! I also found a great tone arm for my 17 and in LA
a project Fireside with Cygnet horn.

Yes, you have a beautiful Victrola XVI! The Fireside is a project, but it has potential.

My wife and I were there on Saturday, but had other obligations on Sunday. It was a great show.

Thanks guys! The Fireside and horn will require some restoration as you can see. I got a good deal though
so there is some room for parts and paint remover, etc. The motor seems to be ok but the roller bar
is bent at an angle and causing too much drag on the belt. Should be ok with cleaning, oil and adjustment.
I have a Model B reproducer with new diamond on the way and a repro Cygnet crane. That will cover the parts,
and the rest is aesthetics.
