So, I am looking to add these gears to my Edison Standard. I am 95% sure I have a Standard B, but I am posting a picture just in case I am wrong. Anyway, do these gears look complete?

I posted that last night. I don't know why I was registered as a guest. I guess I have to figure out some things about this forum yet too.

Sorry you didn't win the bid. I'm commenting because I recently lost a bid on eBay by a last second snipe bid. I was watching the clock tick down and I had the item when it hit 0 seconds. But next thing I know, it pops up that I was outbid by $2.50. Is there no etiquette or manners left in the world?
at least they didn't cancel the bids, end the auction prematurely and sell the item off ebay.
I've been both the victim and perpetrator before of those last second bids... regarding that, I really think notions of manners and etiquette are totally irrelevant... a given auction ends at a certain set time, until which any bidding is fair game... it's really just more reason to bid your highest when you bid rather than just incrementally increase your bids starting out really low (then you'd at least know, if you were outbid in the last second, that it ended up costing more than you wanted to spend).

Sniping has always been a fact of life at eBay. Manners or etiquette are not observed in certain human activities. That is the culture there. Adapt or lose. It still comes down to who bids the highest sum. Don't give your competition time to think about upping the ante. Harsh? You bet.

Yeah, I realized soon after I lost the item that I would need to change my bidding habits. Adapt or continue losing.
I'm glad to know it's not just me who has had this problem. Oh well, nothing else to do but watch out for another one (maybe I'll even find one with the Model H reproducer right with it).
And as for no morals, that seems to be most places online. I think the problem is that you don't see the people you are dealing with, and that makes it seem as if they aren't real.
I put my maximum bid on ebay. If I get out bid so be it. I've gotten outbid for as little as 50 cents, but that's OK. That's my max, and another one always pops up. That's how ebay works.
