I just recently bought a mahogany columbia Grafanola at a yard sale - very clean smooth running machine, BUT the 12" turntable is warped so badly that it looks like a roller-coaster when playing a record. It even rubs on the speed control dial a bit when spinning. Can this be made flat again somehow?? or it it easier to just buy a good turntable from a columbia parts machine?

Re: Columbia Grafanola turntable
I switched turntables from another Columbia machine and it did not wobble at all.

If you need a 12 inch Columbia Grafonola turntable, I'm pretty sure I have one in my parts hoard that I don't need.

Re: Columbia Grafanola turntable
Many thanks - I'll let you know after I take one more look to see if I can do something under heat and a little pressure. I really appreciate your offer and will get back to you soon, as I am in no hurry..... Brian
