There is no reason sellers can not list their items in various auctions, if such auctions existed.. It should be easy for a start-up since a website is practically free. A start-up could run at a loss, usual for a start-up, and steal business from eBay.

I do not know why eBay has no competition.

Craigslist is already free, how do you compete with that?

Interesting to note that you can no longer read the feedback for zmah0321. All feedback is now private.

Many have tried but failed because they couldn't generate enough listings quick enough to keep people returning to the site to browse and to list.

No doubt somebody should be able to conquer that by offering completely free auctions for 1 year with no strings. (have advertisers pay for it) They would then get a great base of auctions and traffic to work from. After a year they could put in place some competitively priced auctions than Ebay.
Ebay people would flee in droves to it.

Best idea ever! Make it happen Steve.

Well id use it :) And your right there are so many dissatisfied ebay users (myself included) that even if it were only margionally cheaper than ebay people would use it in preference...wouldn't it be so satisfying for a great many people to see ebay fall.

As a message to Steve: pity you cant recruit debt collectors to go and pay her a visit to sieze items to the value of what she owes you plus the costs of the debt collection company. Must be a way of doing that from the UK even if she is in the States. Don't let the b**ch get away with it.

She has a UPS mail box to cover her tracks. By a miracle Ebay refunded my final value fee for this fraudster who never paid anyways. Now I will pay off the rest of my legitimate balance with Ebay and move on. Bunch of crooks.

Well, given that I would be tempted to periodically send to it a "special" parcel with some suitable contents. I'll leave those contents to your imagination

Won't get any money back, but would give some satisfaction LOL! Might be difficult though providing a suitable description on the customs declaration....

Too late, RH.

She's already got away with it and will continue to rip more people off in future. How? With the dumb idiots of Ebay to ably assist her, that's how!
