Any ideas on this "front mount"?

This looks like a frankie front mount. I am just trying to figure out if the
case is genuine. The support arm looks too thin, reproducer is wrong, escutcheon
is a late model type and the data plate is certainly incorrect. Thanks for any
input.

Unless it's a bargain and you can use the parts (like the horn), it's a waste of time.

Need to see better (and bigger) pictures to answer your question about the case.

Sorry for the tiny pics guys. I am going to go look at it tomorrow since its right near my house.
Its only 100 bucks but if there is a crapophone motor in there I will run the other way.
I compared the base to all the external Victor models and it doesn't seem to match any.
The horn does look real however so that's something to consider. I will report back when I find
out more and get some better pics.

Looks kind of like a VV IV cabinet.

Case somewhat resembles a Columbia table top Grafonola. Horn may have been chopped or drilled. It could have been a Cylinder phono horn that was "adapted." There is evidence of dents that haven't been entirely removed from the bell. Again, unless you have a need for the parts, it's a waste of time. That's my opinion.

Thanks for the info everyone. I went ahead and bought it based on parts value. The horn appears to be a huge Victor concert horn at 29 inches long by 20.5 across the bell. There is no decal but there is a patent stamp on the topside. Inside the case is a late version Victrola 2 spring in good shape. I am pretty sure the top came from a VV-VI and was dropped into the empty case from another table top internal horn model. Veneer was added to the case to conceal the previous holes. Does anyone recognize the support arm for the horn?

It looks kind of like the ones on the "scheme machines" (Harmony, Aretino, etc.). I'm not 100% certain, but it does bear strong resemblance.

If the small end of the horn hasn't been too butchered up you've done OK.

Got lucky the end is still intact. Fits snug in the Vic III elbow.
