Wanted - Columbia Tone-arm

Post by briankeith »

Does anyone have a Columbia Tone-Arm for sale that will fit this style Columbia Grafanola? Model / style is a Columbia without a lid as per attached photograph. I need a complete tone arm with reproducer as the pot metal is cracked and so badly warped that I cannot even get the original Columbia reproducer off the cracked tone-arm! Thanks so much. Did you try to put the whole thing in the freezer over night? This helped me to finally get my reproducer out. Wear leather gloves or your skin will stick to the metal. ;) At least the reproducer should be reusable. You may have to sand or file it down a bit so it fits into your next tone arm, once you find one.
Shenandoah Restoration in the internet offers replacement elbows and inserts made from brass, but they might be a bit expensive for a table top machine.
