Congratulations, looks great. So much better than stripped and refinished.

Beautiful, great job. Now on to find the knob!

Re: Reviving A Finish On A VV-IX
I also concur, beautiful job on this-it looks quite luscious to me. I am pleased to see that the GoJo works so well, as here in Indianapolis I can't find Kotton Klenser anywhere locally, so I'd have to order it somewhere. The Home Depot carries all kinds of Howard's products, & I've already gotten the mahogany for a 1909 VTLA I'm slowly working on & walnut for an Columbia Grafonola "lowboy" that some idiot painted puke green in the 1970s.
Of all the tabletop Victrolas before the Orthophonic machines came out, the later VV-IX with those feet & curved bottom is my absolute favorite. I like the "cuteness factor" of the VV-IV & VV-VI, but to me the later VV-IX has all the look of substance, elegant style, & beauty of a nicely maintained upright at the VV-X/VV-XI/VV-XIV level. I'm still looking for one. Saw a decent one at the Shelbyville antique mall out here about 6 years ago, but they wanted $450 for it which was a "firm" price. The spring couldn't play through all of a 10" Arthur Pryor record, & the No.2 soundbox needed a rebuild. So I turned around & "firmly" walked away from it:)
The correct knobs shouldn't be a problem, as you can get them from George Vollema the "Victrola Doctor" or nice repros from Walt Sommers, who is "cyber_tigger" on eBay. I just got an original goldplated crank & needle cup from George for the VTLA, & got a set of nickel knobs from Walt for a 1917 VV-X that was a salvage, which someone had restained the correct shade of mahogany but without the right texture.
