The thing I will remember most about this show, is the disrespect they demonstrated in burning up old radio consoles in their nightly bond fire. Just like we treasure old phonographs, radios should be part of that passion also. Such a shame, especially at a radio show.

That's just a shame. What night was that? I saw a empty console for $5 Saturday morning. If I knew this was going to happen to it, I would have saved it...

That particular bond fire was held the evening of Friday, May 13, 2011, at the radio show.

I usually make the show on Saturday morning, but sometimes I arrived later in the morning than optimal. So, for the Spring 2011 show, I decided to drive up after work on Friday, and camp out in my car overnight.

When I got there late Friday evening, this bond fire is what greeted me. I never knew this happened, but apparently is a ritual at each show.

I didn't attend this Fall's show.
