O/T - Youtube "tube increaser"

Post by EdisonSquirrel »

Is this a joke or is it for real? Software to increase the number of views of one's videos!

http://www.tubeincreaser.com/

Just think.... I could upload an Edison Quartet 2-minute cylinder and bump up the views to 1,000,000. :o

I didn't click the link, but it's real... some internet geeks look at # of views as a status symbol. There have already been previous attempts for increasing one's video count which YouTube has already banned. Thankfully it doesn't go on with this forum, but on some forums the number of posts that one has could be viewed in the same way. (in their own minds alone, if you ask me)

Brings to mind a former forum.

I was relieved when I saw what kind of a tube increaser it actually is!

Sounds like the perfect tool for people who crave the status symbol of being "popular". Very sad in my opinion. I would much rather know how many poeple were actually interested in looking at a video of mine rather than artifically bumping up the view numbers. Personally, I will leave such tools for the likes of "Aisha17" and their ilk.
