Question about Pooley cabinets

Post by gibsonj »

Hi everyone

Does anyone know if Diamond Disc records will fit in the Pooley ejector style record cabinet? I know the Pooleys were probably made for the Victor 78s, but just wondered if the Diamond Discs were too thick to fit and work properly.

Thanks for any insights.

They won't, for certain. I have some Grand Prize Victors in mine that are a tight fit into the slots. They're much less than ¼ inch slots in Pooley ejector cabinets, probably more like half that.

Absolutely not! Like orthosean said, even early Victors, which are slightly thicker, just squeeze through the felt. Sorry

Thanks to you both. What I suspected.
