Gramophone advert fail...is the elderly woman for sale too?

Post by JHolmesesq »

I had such a laugh when I came across this advert today. It's on the UK eBay site for a gamaphola childens machine, so imagine my surprise when I clicked on the listing only to see a picture of an elderly relative at the sink in the background...

The listing is below - take a look for a bit of a giggle!

Great find, a "must" for the gallery of unintentionally funny ebay adverts. Thank you for showing.

a lot of times when I'm buying antiques or phonographs, records, etc., I'm reminded of the sayings about sausages and laws, that it's best to focus on the result while willfully blinding oneself to the process... apart from the early history, the origins, I generally prefer not knowing where most of this stuff comes from (in terms of its most recent history) before it gets to me... on more than a few occasions, the places from which I've picked up machines after purchasing them left me well-inspired to immediately tackle said machines with multiple treatments of the gojo, kotton kleanser, and oils, among other things.

I think I would have died of shame if it was your wife! Unitentionally insulting a board member over what I found hilarious would be awful :P
