Hi Guys,
Didn't know where else to turn. I am restoring an Edison C-4. The motor has a loud hum to it and I think I need new transformers. I am in search for a General Electic Model 33699 Induction Disc Phonograph Motor. This unit is from around 1929. I know Victrola and Atwater Kent also used their products. If anyone can fulfull my "needle in a haystack" let me know. I think I may be able to use the transformers from slightly different model numbers.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: WTB General Electric Induction Disc Motor
If the motor runs and the coils are not open or shorted wood shims placed between the coils
and steel core will eliminate the hum. The shims that were originally present may have fallen
out or became compressed. Look for a victor service bulletin that shows were to place the shims.
