I have a golden oak XVI that's as nice as any Victrola in any collection. It's 100% untouched original and it includes the key, record duster, cardboard needle carton, and an original tin that was inside the Victrola. It also has several of the correct original albums. The price is $600. A mahogany example should be less. Jerry Blais

Deb,

Assuming that you meant a VV-XVI. "Look for the Dog" gives a price range for 16s of about $800 to $1,500, although that was in 2005 and I suspect that prices are a bit depressed in the current economic climate. Also my impression is that the earlier L-door models tend to bring a bit more than the later regular-shaped door models.

you really should post a photo or a more detailed description, otherwise you're really only going to get very generalized answers. the XVI was released in several different versions, and prices vary based on that and of course condition.

I've also found those baumbach price estimates to be pretty off at this point.
