EDISON DIAPHRAGMS?

Has anyone used the British Best diaphragm for Edison Diamond Disc reproducers? I picked one up at a flea market several years ago, the diaphragm is brown and has the string and hook like the originals. I think I paid 35.00 for it, and installed it in my C-19 machine, and it sounded so good, I played kitten on the keys by zez confrey, I could not believe the piano sounded like it was playing in the room. from back in 1928, (a 52000 series record), also sounded good, i tried that diaphragm from A.P.S.C.O. and it buzzed on the louder parts of the record, this one really sounds right.

Does anyone know where I can get another one for my B-80? or a good suitable replacement, I don't like the ones that are cardboard with dental floss for a string.

I use .003" thick spring steel, with a PVC damping disc.

Probably from a gentleman named Puckett in Hebron, Indiana. When I work the Porter County Fair next year, I might look him up since he's in that neighborhood!

Yes, indeed, Puckett from Hebron. In. is selling those. I wouldn't waste my money....... again. Brown paper coated with silicone with a metal link ring that has to be "worked" to fit.

No, as former Assistant Director of the Birthplace of Country Music Alliance, I know exactly who Riley Puckett was, and as a current resident of Indiana and member of this board, I know who Rod Pickett is. The 'British Best' diaphragms are sold on eBay by one Jerry Puckett of Hebron, Indiana. There's also a 'British Best' YouTube video.
