Santa Claus is Comin' to Town

Post by Lenoirstreetguy »

I've was playing this on the piano and realized that this is the original sheet music cover. Eddie Cantor introduced the song on his radio show in November 1934 and if the term " going viral" had existed in 1934, it certainly was appropriate to this piece: more than 400,000 copies of the sheet music sold by Xmas. according to Wiki. But does anyone have the original recording? According to Wiki it was made by Harry Reser's band with...god help us...Tom Stacks on vocal. Decca 264A. I have never seen or heard it.

JRT Ho ho ho ho.
