Neat site with streaming acoustic cylinder and disc music

Post by beat_truck »

I just found this site that has lots of music from 78s, diamond discs, and cylinders played on period correct machines in streaming audio. They also give some history on the music too. Thought I would share it with everyone here. ;) Seems to be pretty good quality too.

Yes, this is a good site. The podcasts are older than the dates listed, however. I believe this show ended at least two years ago.
Nice to be reminded that the podcasts are still available. Thanks!

This program is still on, and the podcasts are as new as listed. "Thomas Edison's Attic" was the program which ended 3+ years ago. Many of those are still available, but only as streaming RealAudio. http://wfmu.org/playlists/TE
I downloaded about 40 of them, when they were available as mp3 files; I suppose I'd get sued if I let anyone have copies.
