This is neither music or a machine but it's an associated part so I scanned it for the heck of it . It's an elaborate French Album from the May 1914 supplement issued by a Belgian dealer...perhaps in fact the Belgian branch of the Gramophone Company. Sorry the nice lady looks as if she's being attacked by an amoeba. Each division of the album had a tab upon which one wrote the title and then used the tab to pull the record out. The tab returned automatically when one replaced the record. And the album sat up by itself it would seem . " Choosing a record and taking it out of the album is a cinch!!" ( Choisir un disc et le retirer de l'album c'est un jeu! They weren't cheap 12-13 francs would have been about two dollars or so at that time.

One might suspect not, but it does appear to be sorely endangering her head.Nat wrote:Cool! Thanks for posting this.

Very handy. If the lady gets a little tipsy on too much red wine, she'll (hopefully) drop her treasured Maurice Renaud record right back into its folder, rather than on the floor.
