Victor XVII in Maine

Post by solophoneman »

I just happen to spot this one on Craigslist in Maine. These beautifully designed classic Victors are not that common, and in their time were one of the highest priced models in the Victor Catalog. The seller is open to offers.

Very nice find. From the pictures, it looks like the finish could use some work, although it might just need cleaning and polishing.

A bargain. Too bad I live over 2000 miles away.

If I lived closer that one might be in the back of my car by now. Somebody should grab it at that price. I think it would clean up nicely.

Over 35 years ago I went to a summer camp about 1 hour's drive from Waterboro. It was actually just adjacent to Skowhegan, if anyone knows that town. I didn't know what a Victrola was at the time... :monkey:
