Regular paint stripper will make the paint bubble up and it can be scrapped off easily. This would be a rewarding project, if seller priced it right.

Be interesting to see if this sells, and for what $. It looks like standard issue XI to me. IMO $300 is way much, considering the paint. Maybe a bill if everything else is in really good shape.

That's what I was thinking too. If it were in my area, I'd offer $50 to $100. It would be worth that in parts if restoration turned out to be too big a chore.
