Edison Cygnet Horn / Ebay

Post by Flvice »

This Edison cygnet horn on Ebay sold for $1,111.00. I have seen and purchased similar ones for $300-$400 in the past that are in similar condition or minor dents with original paint. Anyone know why this one commanded such a high price?

Other than the fact that two people really wanted it, I can't say. That horn, the smaller (10 panel) cygnet was used on the Home, Standard and Fireside.

That's one of the things I hate about Ebay!!! This is how sellers get crazy Ideas about how much things are worth. Two guys fight it out and a $ 400 dollar # 10 cygnet horn sells for $1000. Even a #11 cygnet horn which was used on the Triumph and is much harder to find is not worth $1000.
