I now have the cabinet inside and the padding I put around it removed, and in good light it doesn't look nearly as bad as it did in the poor light in the storage space where it was when I bought it. Should clean up fairly well.
And yes, the serial number inside the cabinet is the same as the one on the bedplate. When I figure out how to make the macro feature on my camera to work, I'll see if I can get shots of those.
