Did Edison offer Amberolas in 'green oak'? I had always thought they stopped using that finish in 1905... :?

I remember going to "The Place" one time. A friend was looking at buying
a VV 8-35. And to think what those machines were going for at the time.

ModelT,

I think it's been mentioned but if you'd post some good pictures of your 1A you'd get some good feedback re. condition, type of wood and what might be the situation with your bedplate.

Is it really black, original paint? If so that would be the first I've heard of. Most of the oak ones had a gun metal bedplate. Could it be that yours is so dirty the the gun metal appears black?

I would love to post some photos.
I will try to get it done tomorrow.
The bed plate is black. I know it is different but it realy looks origonal.
I will try to get some photos showing the green finish. It shows up best inside the drawers.
