I have a Edison Standard that I am restoring. Has anybody attempted to add a greenish tint on these Model A phonographs? If so, how do you do it?

Re: Green Oak Tint for Edison Phonographs
Mix a dab of Windsor & Newton "sap green" with some methanol and wipe the stain on the cabinet. Allow to dry.......then rub excess off (and buff). Apply shellac as normal.
The dye is more of a jade green, but depending on the age of green that needs to be replicated, you can add some Golden Oak aniline dye stain to the mix to brown it down as needed
