Why don't you post a photo or some more information about the machine? Because the link you provided only takes you to the auction's web site not the credenza.

I guess it just goes to show that machines in the very best condition will always get the very best money.

After clicking on the link - at the top of the page you will see lot options - click on musical instruments - 1st page has a couple of victrola's - A Victor 6 went for $13,800

I was going to try bidding on the Victor 6. Glad I did not bother at that price.credenzaX wrote:After clicking on the link - at the top of the page you will see lot options - click on musical instruments - 1st page has a couple of victrola's - A Victor 6 went for $13,800

WOW Many musical items brought over the top prices.
Here is the complete link:

I will say, having seen the collection a couple of times, that all their instruments were kept in tip-top condition and this autction was sure to bring out many buyers with very deep pockets.

Now every moron with a Credenza who hears about this auction is going to want the moon for their Credenzas. It will be the 'Barbara Streisand Buys Gustav Stickley's Sideboard' Syndrome all over again. May god have mercy on us all!

Yea and even though it's got a couple broken legs, missing a door and is painted with a brush they will still want $4600...JohnM wrote:Now every moron with a Credenza who hears about this auction is going to want the moon for their Credenzas. If that's an 8-30 with the turntable off center shouldn't it have the back bracket arm instead of the self-supporting arm?
