These can clean up amazingly well.
Something I discovered recently in cleaning up an equally dirty A250 is that Edison apparently lacquered their gold work. On mine, all the metal bits had turned almost black. After a fairly short soak in some ammonia, all the old blackened lacquer came off leaving the amazingly intact gold finish that was underneath.

Arthur W. J. G. Ord-Hume's Laws of Collecting
1. Space will expand to accommodate an infinite number of possessions, regardless of their size.
2. Shortage of finance, however dire, will never prevent the acquisition of a desired object, however improbable its cost.

Yes. One sold last year in the Stanton's auction. I believe it brought somewhere between $15,000 & $19,000. My recollection is that it was more towards the higher number.
