Oxford 7 inch

Post by Lenoirstreetguy »

Just found this in the wild this afternoon. So, O Wise Folks, this is a Columbia pressing is it not? What information can you folks give me on this. These recordings from Sears weren't sold up here.

That's yet another Columbia client label. They were offered in three sizes. 7" 10" and 12".

Sherman and Nauck's Columbia book lists them as ca. 1908 and 1911-16.

That one is a Columbia item. I have a 7" Oxford band recording of 'Nearer my God to thee' which came from (US) Zonophone.
